David Bowie, El Duque Blanco, Ziggy Stardust o simplemente Bowie, murió este domingo a los 69 años, después de batallar durante 18 meses contra el cáncer. El rey del glamm rock fue uno de los artistas más completos y con más influencia en los últimos 50 años.
La leyenda de la música, que el 8 de enero pasado había cumplido 69 años y había lanzado el mismo día su álbum número 25, no dejó de reinventarse musical y estéticamente.
Su muerte causó un shock mundial y las celebridades encontraron en la red, una manera de expresar su dolor.
Cher, Madonna, Billy Idol, Pharrell Williams, Iggy Pop, Linda Perry, Guillermo del Toro, el primer ministro británico David Cameron, Russell Crowe, Gene Simmons, Penélope Cruz, Kate Hudson, David Beckham, entre miles, dejaron su mensaje.
"Crecí escuchando y viendo el genio del pop David Bowie. Sabía reinventarse mejor que nadie, siempre acertaba. Una enorme pérdida", reaccionó de inmediato el primer ministro británico, David Cameron, en su cuenta de Twitter.
"Bowie existió para que todos los inadaptados como nosotros, aprendiéramos que una rareza es algo valioso. Cambió el mundo para siempre", reaccionó por su parte el director mexicano Guillermo del Toro.
